Baba Rahman, a Ghanaian and Chelsea defender, donates a large sum to the Northern Regional Football Association.


Baba Abdul Rahman, a Ghanaian defender, gave the Northern Regional Football Association a donation of football equipment.

Chelsea’s left-back donated cash and 156 footballs to 52 Sagnarigu FA and Tamale Metro FA junior clubs.

Tamale Metro Football Association, Sagnarigu Football Association, and Northern Regional Football Association each got GH1,000.00 to help with administrative and operational costs.

GH4,000 was also contributed to the Referees Revolving Fund by the 26-year-old.

Alhaji Alhassan is a Muslim who lives in the United Arab Emirates. NRFA Chairman Abu Hassan Rahzo thanked Rahman for his kindness.

He also urged other members of the national team hailing from the United States to come out and support him.

Other national team players from the region were also urged to support clubs in order for the region to reclaim its rightful role in Ghana football.

The footballer urged the teams/clubs receiving the donation to put it to good use.
