Barcelona won their LaLiga match against Espanyol by 4 – 2 and they were crowned champions of LaLiga for the 27th time in the history of the club.
There are still four matches to be played but they cannot be over taken by Real Madrid whom they are leading by 14 points.
Despite financial problems of the club, Barca becomes LaLiga Champions once again since 2019.
This is the first major title for manager, Xavi whom before this game has only won the Spanish Super Cup since taking over the managerial role at the Catalan club in November 2021.
This is also the club’s first league title since the departure of Lionel Messi in 2021.
