Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku marked his debut goal for Leicester City in The Foxes’ latest triumph in the English Championship.
Issahaku contributed to Leicester’s 3-1 victory over Swansea City, securing their position at the top of the standings. Leicester maintains a five-point lead over second-placed Ipswich Town, who is scheduled to face eighth-ranked Bristol City on October 25.
Despite conceding a goal in the 20th minute, Leicester fought back and secured the win with goals from Jannik Vestergaard in the 44th minute, Issahaku in the 63rd minute, and Kelechi Iheanacho in the 87th minute.
The 19-year-old Issahaku elegantly finished a cross from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, placing the ball into the top of the net after Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi allowed the cross to roll between his legs.
On loan from Sporting Lisbon, Issahaku showcased his skill by taking a precise touch inside the penalty box to position himself before confidently striking the ball into the net.
The winner of the Under-20 AFCON has made a notable impact, contributing with a goal and an assist in nine games this season across all competitions.
