Head coach of GPL defending champions, Augustine Evans Adotey has stated that their defeat was a swift revenge for Accra Hearts Of Oak for their humiliation at their hands last season.
Coach Evans Adotey in a post match interview admitted that he new the match was going to be difficult because of the humiliation Hearts Of Oak suffered in their hands last season.
“Before I came into the match, I knew fans of Hearts Of Oak, the team itself will want to revenge because of last season, and looking at the position of the club, this is the first time Hearts Of Oak is winning so I knew it was not going to be easy for me and that is what exactly happened. ”
” Although I didn’t start well in the first half and conceded three goals, I came back and held on to the 3 – 1, if I had start well in the first half, the scoreline will not be this, ” he said in post match interview.
Accra Hearts Of Oak defeated Medeama SC by 3 – 1 in the match day 8 fixture of the Ghana Premier league.
Hearts Of Oak travels to Tamale Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium to take on Karela United in their next GPL game.
