Jojo Wollacot Back In Black Stars Camp After World Cup

Jojo Wollacott, the Black Stars’ goalie, returned to the team after missing the 2022 World Cup due to a finger injury.

The goalie has been called up for the Black Stars’ two games against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after fully recovering from his injury.

The first game will be played on March 23 in Kumasi, and the second will be played on March 27 in Luanda. Wollacott is anticipated to start both contests.

The 25-year-old has performed admirably for Charlton Athletic, where he plays for his club, and he intends to make an impression for his nation in the next qualifiers.

Chris Hughton, the coach of Ghana, expressed his happiness at Wollacott’s return to the squad and said that the Black Stars will benefit much from his talent and expertise.

All players are now available for training as the Black Stars are now in Accra getting ready for their opening match against Angola.

The Black Stars will be aiming for the most points possible in both games to guarantee qualifying to the tournament in Ivory Coast the following year.
