Leicester City’s manager, Enzo Maresca, has lauded the performance of Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku following The Foxes’ 3-1 victory against Swansea City.
Issahaku, on loan from Sporting Lisbon, scored his debut goal for Leicester in the weekend’s triumph, maintaining the team’s position at the top of the English Championship standings.
Former Dreams FC player Issahaku showcased his skill by netting Leicester’s second goal, controlling the ball inside the penalty box before elegantly placing it into the top of the net.
“Abdul was on the other side and then in the second half, he was forward. They are small details. I’m happy for both of them (Fatawu and Stephy Mavididi).”

In the post-game press conference, Maresca, the ex-Manchester City assistant coach, expressed satisfaction with Issahaku’s contributions. The Ghanaian winger has notched a goal and an assist in nine appearances across all competitions this season.
