Martinez Holds The Longest Unbeaten Record

Dibu makes history

Emiliano Matinez stole the show as he made history as he broke the record of the longest unbeaten time in the national team’s goal post.

Burgos, a German, who was the record holder had a surprise reaction.

He wrote on his social media, “congratulations Dibu Martinez for breaking my record and let the success continue. Let’s go Argentina!!! ”

Martinez had gone 532 minutes without conceding a goal. The last goal he conceded was the world cup final in the 3-3 drawn game against France. He was fourth on the goalkeepers list with the longest unbeaten time in the national team’s post. He was only surpassed by German Burgos (606 minutes), Sergio Romero (576 minutes) and Americo Tesorieri (553 minutes).

Being undefeated in the Monumental stadium, Dibu passed Mono to become the number one who has gone the longest without being scored.

With this game, Emiliano Martinez has gone 622 minutes without conceding a goal.
