In Saturday’s victory over the Hoosiers, Rutgers showcased a formidable ground game, amassing 276 rushing yards and asserting control over the time of possession. Despite securing wins this season against Indiana State and Akron in overtime, Coach Allen appeared notably disheartened after the game.
“There’s no doubt after playing this many games you get guys who get down, get discouraged, so we’ve got battle that,” Allen said on team morale. “That’s where your leadership comes in from players and coaches. There’s no doubt it’s very frustrating at the same. We’ve just got to keep battling, keep fighting.”
