Callum Hudson-Odoi, a Chelsea winger and winner of the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League, has landed in Ghana for the holidays.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian-born player arrived in Accra on Monday evening, barely three days after Chelsea’s European success.
On his arrival, he was greeted by King Promise, a prominent Ghanaian pastor and Chelsea supporter.
Hudson-Odoi is on holiday in Ghana following a grueling football season in Europe that saw Chelsea reach the FA Cup finals, where they were defeated by Daniel Amartey’s Leicester City.
Despite his preference for England over Ghana in international football, the U-17 FIFA World Cup winner has always shown his admiration for the West African nation.
After failing to make manager Gareth Southgate’s 26-man Euro 2020 team, the Chelsea player will miss the tournament.
Hudson-Odoi had a great season last year, recording 32 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.
