Sundowns Holds Ahly To Qualify For AFL Finals

Sundowns Face Wydad Casablanca

Mamelodi Sundowns held Al Ahly in Cairo to hold on to a 1 – 0 aggregate to qualify for the finals of the African Football League as they will face Wydad Casablanca in the finals.

A goalless draw at Cairo was enough to send the South African side to the finals after getting a slim win the the first league.

Ahly pilled a good pressure on Sundowns but their goalkeeper proved to be up to the task after saving a penalty which could take the tie to equal pegging on aggregate.

The Egyptians tried as much as they could but Percy Tau was adjudged offside as the only goal he scored was denied.

Now, only Wydad Casablanca stands between the South Africans and the $4 million prize for the African Football League inaugural champions.
